Mmkay, my kids are pranksters ANY day of the week. I figured I'd get them on April Fools Day. ;)
They love that I bake & make goodies all the time sooooo when I found the idea to make "Brown Es", it was perfect! They were so simple & the kids thought it was pretty funny.
I love the look on their faces...not quite "getting it" yet...

Now, the process for making this great gag couldn't be any easier!
You can either cut a bunch of letter "E"s out of brown construction paper. Or, if you don't happen to have any (I didn't, so this is the way I did them), you can cut them out of white paper & simply color them brown. Place them in a baking pan, cover with foil or cover & pull your prank!
